The material is well made and I love that I wouldn't need to wear a bra with this dress because the bodice is very supporting. I can’t believe I slept on this vixen classic for so long! It is absolutely gorgeous!
The cotton sateen fabric is perfectly structured, eliminating the need for a bra or shapewear and just makes your body look incredible! The fabric feels thick and stiff too so it holds it’s shape lovely.
I worried about the capped sleeves digging in but they don’t at all and are loose enough to comfortably move your arms around.
If you’re on the fence seriously go for it!
I measure 33-25-36 and bought the XS.

This dress is a dream! It's a little structured on top so it shapes me without shape wear. The waist doesn't have much stretch, and it was a tad tight as I'm thicker in the waist. But otherwise perfect.

This dress is just darling and an absolute stunner. It’s so easy to wear because it fits beautifully and is so very comfortable. It fits me really well but is a tiny bit large in the busy area. It doesn’t detract from how cute the dress is. I just wear the sleeves off of the shoulders and you can barely tell that it’s a bit too big. The pockets are to die for and the waist nips me in in just the right way. I am absolutely obsessed with this dress and HIGHLY recommend it. It truly exceeded my expectations.

Love this dress!!! This was my first Vixen purchase and what made me buy more dresses. The material is nice and sturdy. The waist is firm it has little to no give to it (so on days that I'm a bit bloated this dress is a pass due to the lack of stretch). You can wear the sleeves on or off the shoulder, when they are on the shoulder they do not dig in and leave marks. The pockets!!!!!! The pockets are never-ending, I could fit my phone, sunglasses, bus pass, croissant and power bank all in one pocket and not look bulky!!!!!

When I first saw this dress, I knew I immediately had to have something in gingham in my closet. It's very high in quality. I can fit an iPhone and my wallet in both pockets. It's perfect to do anything in, whether if it's Dapper Day or just going out and doing errands. I purchased a size L. My waistline fluctuates between a 28 to 31.5. Micheline is a badass, gorgeous dress making, witch! This dress is beautiful! The fabric is nice and thick without being heavy, which really helps to pull you in and flatter. The zipper is nice and sturdy too. I am currently a 42 bust and 33 waist and bought the XL. It fits great, snug but not uncomfortable. Just a gorgeous dress. So gorgeous in fact, that I bought the pink gingham Bardot as well! A girl can never have too much gingham!

I’m completely in love with this dress & on a personal mission to get everyone to buy it!!! I wear a 34DDD bra but typically measure at 36” bust and 31” waist. I purchased the dress in a size L and it’s absolutely perfect. I was a tad afraid I wouldn’t get it zipped up but it did and is totally comfortable. This dress is pure magic and looks amazing on every lady I’ve seen pics of. If you’ve been on the fence about buying it...JUST DO IT!!

The bodice on this is AMAZING. Truly, I can't imagine a body that it wouldn't work for! However, I'm not a fan of poofy gathered skirts in general, and I ultimately didn't feel comfortable in this. I suspect part of the problem is that I'm extremely short, so the waist hit a bit lower than ideal, making the skirt gathers start just a tad too low for comfort. I would kill for this bodice on a circle skirt!! If it ever goes on sale, I might try the large instead of XL to see if that helps the torso length issue at all. My waist is currently 32, but squishy, so could probably swing a large with shapewear if needed :).

I resisted this beautiful dress at first because why did I need gingham? However, after seeing it on lovely ladies in the Vixen's Salon on fb, I knew I needed it. Yes, there are a lot of gingham dresses out there, but this one is special. The off the sleeve shoulders that can also be worn on the shoulder just add a little extra something that made me want to try it. I love it! The fabric was a bit more stiff than I was expecting, but it's not a bad thing. It actually holds me in REALLY nicely. My underbust is smaller than my ribcage, which usually leads to a bit of a goofy look with a normal bra under dresses, but the Bardot camouflages this nicely with my regular multi-way convertible bra (took the straps off to be strapless under this dress). To me, that's quite the accomplishment, since I've taken to wearing longlines to hide the discrepancy normally. I love that! I'm a 32H (UK, US is 32K), and I actually didn't hate the way it looked sans bra, which is surprising.
I find that oftentimes for me, gingham just feels too picnic table and cutesy, but the Bardot is the perfect combination of sexy and cute, and I don't feel silly wearing it like I do most gingham. Thanks to Micheline for desgining this amazing dress!

Vixen does it again! Everything about this dress is even better than expected! My measurements are: 96-76-free and a size M fits perfect. A bit snug but not uncomfortable. Glad I didn't size up. Runs true to size I would say. The details on the dress are just perfect! Very good quality. Even without a petitcoat the skirt is full. Love it! Worth the wait ❤️❤️❤️

Fits according to the size chart. Really fun design. The bodice fits very well. The elasticated sleeves/shoulders helps with fit. A lot of the old DD stuff was HUGE in the shoulders - not this. The stretch sateen is sturdy enough to hold its shape, but it's not so thick that it becomes too hot to wear in summer. Enough give in the fabric to make the fit comfortable. Love the width of the belt. Very me!

I’ve been waiting for this dress eagerly ever since the collection was teased on IG, and when the preorder launched I bought it immediately. This dress is wonderful, super well made, super quality. I don’t know what I was expecting re: the fabric, but it is both somehow more stiff and lighter than I was expecting? It’s definitely not a heavy fabric and is super comfortable. Perfect for summer. Because the fabric is kind of...almost stiff (not scratchy or starched) it doesn’t move like most fabrics I’m used to, but this really isn’t much of a concern. I think it would look really great with a crinoline underneath. I generally take a size S in Vixen, and it fit perfectly, but as is the case with most items here, between sizes may want to size up for the most comfortable fit. All in all, I love this dress, and I can’t wait to wear it everywhere this summer.

I can’t tell you how gorgeous this dress is. The quantity is better than I ever expected. There is stretch so it gives a perfect fit. The attention to detail is so good. The bodice holds really well and I could go braless even with my 30FF boobs. The skirt poofs out well due to the sturdy fabric and the shoulders can easily sit on or off. My measurements are 36 (30FF) and waist 25.5inches and it looks like it was made for me. Can’t wait to get my pink one and errrr the skirt I ordered as well. Love it
